When a program or initiative has the capacity to succeed into the future, beyond our funding period, with lasting impact.

Transparency

When there is a possibility of open, honest communication and collaboration between funder and grantee organization, fostering shared learning.

Direct Impact

When our funding has a direct impact on the issue or need that a proposed program or initiative seeks to address.

Novel Approach

When a program or initiative represents a new, innovative, unconventional, or overlooked approach to a given issue.

Participatory Ethos

When a grantee organization fosters constituent- and stakeholder-led participation in its programs and strategies, building a network of mutually beneficial relationships.
