CORE, Altadena
Founded in response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, today CORE is a global humanitarian organization that specializes in delivering life-saving resources and direct cash assistance in the immediate aftermath of disasters, as well as long-term case management and community self-reliance. For Altadena, CORE and its disaster case managers support the full survivor journey, connecting wildfire-impacted households to critical resources, housing support, and long-term recovery assistance. KFF supported CORE’s direct cash and loan assistance programs that help residents overcome barriers, navigate rebuilding, and accelerate recovery.
