The National Taiwan University Academic Development Foundation (NTUADF) was established by NTU alumni in the U.S. to support the advancement of their alma mater. In 2022, the Kao Family Foundation provided a grant for the Fu-Yuan Environmental Improvement project being undertaken by the National Taiwan University Electrical Engineering Class of ‘71.

Most recently in 2024, the Foundation provided endowment support for department chairs and scholarships in the University’s College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and College of Engineering to recruit and reward outstanding talent. Funds also establish the Garmin Faculty Dormitory Construction and Maintenance Fund to support the residence halls that house Garmin Scholars at NTU.
