LA Más is a community-based organization that builds neighborhood resilience in the working-class communities of Northeast Los Angeles through popular education, informal economies, capacity building, cultural gatherings, and affordable housing work. KFF is supporting the organization’s pioneering model of housing preservation that combines renter support, resident leadership, and mission-aligned funding partners. The new LA Más ownership model directly addresses the urgent challenge of rising rents and displacement, enabling working-class residents to stay rooted in the communities they call home.
